2 – Release Notes
GPU Caps Viewer 1.44.3
GPU Caps Viewer 1.44.3 is a maintenance release that fixes a bug in the run_gxl_demo command line option. A new GeeXLab demo (Coronavirus-2020) based on a shadertoy demo has been added.
GPU Caps Viewer 1.44.2
GPU Caps Viewer 1.44.2 is a maintenance release that fixes a bug in the Vulkan plugin (GeeXLab demos).
GPU Caps Viewer 1.44.1
GPU Caps Viewer 1.44.1 adds the support of the new Radeon RX 5600 XT and the GeForce RTX 2060 with Turing TU104 GPU (previous RTX 2060 were based on the TU106).
GPU Caps Viewer 1.44.0
This new version of GPU Caps Viewer comes with the support of AMD Navi (RDNA) GPUs. All important hardware sensors are now monitored (GPU temperature, core usage, fan speed, power consumption).
– Radeon RX 5500 XT
– GeForce RTX 2070
New GeeXLab demos are available: one simple render target / post processing demo in Vulkan, one OpenGL 4.3 demo about compute shader and one OpenGL 4.6 demo about using SPIR-V shaders (this GL/SPIR-V demo works fine on NVIDIA GeForce and Intel GPUs but not on AMD Radeon. I have to investigate about that issue).
– OpenGL 4.3 compute shaders demo (full demo available here):
– OpenGL 4.6 GL_ARB_gl_spirv demo:
– Vulkan and render targets demo:

Is possible to release GPU-CAPS-VIEWER for Linux?
There’s no plan for a Linux version of GPU Caps Viewer.
Maybe something like GL-Z can help you?

Windows security show Trojan:Win32/Detplock when download .EXE version.
It’s a false positive. But I don’t understand why you get this.

Just to be sure, I updated Windows Defender and I scanned GPU_Caps_Viewer_Setup_v1.44.1.0.exe and WD found 0 threat.
Here is my WD version:
Trojan:Win32/Detplock seems a common false positive using WD:
https://github.com/typora/typora-issues/issues/2807
Several demos cannot be run on the command line, although the work OK when launched from the GUI, e.g. GPU_Caps_Viewer.exe /demo_win_width=1920 /demo_win_height=1080 /demo_fullscreen /run_gxl_demo=gl46_spirv /benchmark_log_results /benchmark_duration=10000 /demo_msaa=0
The affected demos are:
gl46_spirv
gl40_tessellation
gl_triangle
vk_postfx01
vk_triangle
vk_triangle_v2
Thanks, I will check this issue as soon as possible.
I have new platform Intel Tiger Lake, but I get the error code that “OpenCL CPU not support on the selected platform , bye” while I running the CL CPU-4D Quaternion Julia Set.
The GPU Cap viewer version is 1.44.3.1
I have same problem on Comet lake platform, could someone help to comment if it’s not support on Intel CPU?
The Download link doesnt work with Firefox 72 – the download is 131KB, had to use download manager.
Program Very nice just checking the opencl support for Intel Graphics
The program only runs on 64-bit based systems! How am I going to see what’s on my windows xp computer?
Wrong, GPU Caps Viewer is a 32-bit application.
But Windows XP support has been dropped last year in v1.41.3.
Maybe the version 1.40.1.0 can help you: https://www.geeks3d.com/dl/show/585
Dwann, please consider upgrading to Windows 7 or 10 and get up to speed with the 21st Century! Similar look but way better and way more stable. Complete 64 bit operating systems are what’s the standard now, not 16 bit operating systems with a 32 bit user interface.
