NVIDIA has launched a new RTX 40 graphics card: the GeForce RTX 4060. This graphics card based on the new AD107 GPU (Ada Lovelace architecture, built with the 5nm process) is the successor of the RTX 3060. The main advantages of the RTX 4060 over the RTX 3060 are: DLSS 3 to speed up framerate and power consumption: the RTX 4060 is rated at 115W while the total graphics power of the RTX 3060 is 170W (+47%). The RTX 4060 has less VRAM than the RTX 3060 and the memory bus is narrower.
The RTX 4060 targets gamers that play at 1080p and is priced at USD $299. This card is slightly faster than the Radeon RX 7600 (now at $250) but remains behind the previous gen RTX 3060 Ti by more or less 10%. The Intel Arc A770 has 4096 cores, 16GB GDDR6 (256-bit), costs $290 and is also a serious alternative to the RTX 4060.
