    Actually the 344.11 XP drivers seem to work fine with my new GTX 970 under XP. Something people don’t realize with video RAM is that it is virtualized, and an application only sees a small “window” of that RAM.
    Even under Windows 8.1 x64, Device Manager only shows about 64MB of total address space (one 32-MB chunk and two 16-MB chunks, as well as the legacy VGA address space) used, and all of that is in the first 4GB of address space.

    It looks like that nvidia removed these entries:

    NVIDIA_DEV.13C0 = “NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980”
    NVIDIA_DEV.13C2 = “NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970”

    in 344.48 driver

    No more support for GTX 9xx under WinXP?!
